Marry Me

There's this song by Train that I've discovered and I wanted to share it with you. It's simple, but I love the words. No this isn't linked to any relationship, but it is sort of my manifestation of the love I am welcoming into my life. I've italicized words that speak to me. The song in playing on my playlist so turn up your volume, close your eyes and enjoy...

Forever can never be long enough for me
To feel like I've had long enough with you
Forget the world now, we won't let them see
But there's one thing left to do

Now that the weight has lifted
Love has surely shifted my way

Marry me today and every day
Marry me if I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will, say you will

Together can never be close enough for me
To feel like I am close enough to you
You wear white and I'll ware out the words I love you
And you're beautiful

Now that the wait is over
And love has finally shown her my way

Marry me today and every day
Marry me if I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will, say you will

Promise me you'll alway be happy by my side
I promise to sing to you when all the music dies

Marry me today and every day
Marry me if I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will, say you will

I've never heard of Train, and typically I only listen to country, but I'll listen to it for you :-D

The lyrics are so sweet!!

However. Being me, the first thing that hit me was this:
"Marry me today and every day
Marry me if I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe"

He hasn't even met her yet!! That's how I totally am - planning out the wedding before we've even gone on the first date. I planned to marry every guy I ever dated!

Katie,
thanks for making an exception for me! I'm glad you loved it. It's so funny because you mention you're planning the wedding before you've even met--I do that!!! It's something I often wish I could turn off. It's almost a curse. I think my favorite line in the whole song is "You wear white and I'll ware out the words I love you and you're beautiful". THAT'S beautiful poetry.
